Music Monday Coast to Coast to Coast

Canada lives music!

Showcase how music lives where you live
Calling all music students across Canada
Celebrate your school and community musical heritage

Music tells the story of who we are - as a people, as a region, and as a country. What is your musical heritage story? Send us your video project to be included in the 2017 Music Monday webcast hosted by Youth4Music Ambassadors.

To commemorate Canada’s 150th anniversary, we celebrate our country’s musical heritage – learning, creating and making music that tells heritage stories about our people and our communities, and about our next generation. We will show how music has enlivened Canada and how it continues to invigorate cultures in every part of our country.

Students are encouraged to develop a short video project that reflects the musical heritage of your school and community. Show Canada YOUR music program. Collaborate within your school, e.g. with other student groups and subject areas or the whole school. Collaborate with organizations within your community, e.g. with libraries, senior centres, community centres, museums or youth groups or with other schools in your community.

Submit your video before April 15, 2017.
Your video could be shown during Music Monday 2017.
